Toddler Bedroom: Work Area

Hey guys, so today I'm finally sharing some pieces from Eli's room. I will also link all the items in his room. Its still a work in progress and completely unfinished, but I just love his room so much that I can't wait till the end ;)

We didn't hang any wall art yet even thou I do have most of the wall pieces, its just the finally things that will be done in the room. I'm still working on furniture arrangements and where all things go. From furniture, we are still missing a nightstand and actually I was looking at some at Hobby Lobby today, but then I looked online and couldn't find anything that the store had, I wish I took a closer look at the story because they seemed to have a lot of new industrial style pieces in that I've never seen there before. I guess, I'll be heading back there again soon.

I've been planning Elis room ever since we decided that he and Annette will be sleeping in different rooms and its been taking us this long to finish it. We had a really hard year 2016 so we took a big break that whole year to do work around the house and finally now in 2017 were starting to work on some projects here and there.

So, Eli's room is actually kinda big, its 12' x 12' plus 2' x 5' corner nook area, so it is pretty much his bedroom and also his playroom. We took that 2' x 5' corner and turned it into his little work area. Andrey built that floating desk and soon will be adding industrial pipe shelves on top so it is a built in piece.

His bed is from Walmart  also,  Wayfair, Joss&Main, and RH Baby&Child have same ones, but are all differently priced (I'll write a review on his bed soon)
Chest of Drawers is from Ikea
Bedding is from RH Baby&Child
Red Chairs are from Target
Rope Industrial Shelves are DIY but materials are from Home Depot
Airplanes are from Hobby Lobby
"My Favorite Things" Storage Bin, similar H&M home (the one he has, is no longer available)
Hedgehog Toy is from RH Baby&Child
Vintage Blueprint Airplanes are DIY

I will be doing another post soon with an update on his room and I'll be talking about how to spice up boring looking furniture pieces.

Enjoy!

Happy Spring

Spring is my favorite season (after Fall of course) so I get all excited planning all the fun things I can do with the kids when it gets warm, but then someone gets sick and so we are stuck inside our home, even when the weather is amazing. So, in moments like these when it feels like Spring is out there somewhere, but we just can't get to it, I bring the Spring to us. This year I bought some new decor for my daughters First Birthday (which is coming up in a few weeks) so, I used the decor from the supplies  I got for her party.

Hint* can you guess the theme of Annette's first birthday party?

I love decorating our dining room every season, it gives it a little fresh makeover every few months and this way, it never looks the same way. This year since I used mostly what I had or items from Annette's party, I wasn't expecting to love the end result, but I did!

Enjoy!

Merry Christmas

What does Christmas mean to you? Is it the feeling of giving and receiving, or the sparkling lights, or is it the cozy fluffy blankets that bring you the warmth? Truly answer that question to yourself.

Many times we want that inner happy feeling of Christmas Joy, but when truly it is all about the Son of God. Thats it, it is simply remembering the most important gift that He gave us, a gift of life. We should all rejoice in that.

Merry Christmas,
with love

Fireplace Mantle Decor

I truly enjoy decorating for Christmas and this year we finally got a fireplace mental so I could finally decorate it. I can't do a lot because we have our TV hanging right above, so I chose to go with just simple winter greenery and then added some silver sparkle.

Enjoy!

Deck the Halls with Pretty Decor

Our Dining room all ready for the holidays and Christmas parties. This year I've been keeping our Christmas tree and decor pretty neutral and really classy. This beautiful buffet table is made by my husband out of wood pallets. Our dining table and chair are from World Market.

Enjoy!

Dark Furniture doesn't have to be an Eyesore

Happy Thursday, it's finally almost weekend. This week I have been adding finishing touches on Christmas decor in our home so now that I am done, I can finally sit back and relax and enjoy our warm and cozy home.

Our bedroom has dark furniture that we got from West Elm and also a dark brown couch from World Market. We love our furniture, but everything white is so popular right now that leaves you questioning if you should get all new furniture or save some money and still get the all white look with just tweaking things around.

Here are some tips you can use to brighten up your room:
-Paint your walls light color
-Add white curtains
-Hang art pieces in white/silver frames
-Go with all white bedding
-Add light color Pillows to your sitting area
-"less is more"
-keep your decor and furniture to the minimum

And thats it, enjoy!

Decorating Home Office for Christmas

For those of you who work from home, you can be as creative as you want when it comes to decorating your work space for the holidays.

Here are some reasons that you should decorate:

-It'll give you motivation to work
-You'll feel Christmasy and Happy
-It's a good change of atmosphere since you always work in that area

Now, on to design tips. I decorated our office space with leftover decor that I decorated the house with and I also used office pieces that I already had. So, its pretty and you don't even have to spend any money.

P.S. My secret to having these beautiful book covers is using leftover tissue paper, yup! Its transparent so I can still see what books are underneath, and they all match. It's a win win!

This year I ordered our Christmas Cards from VistaPrint and I'm completely in love with them. I upgraded for the pearly finish and they are just so beautiful and really well priced
